As Senior Vice President of OTT Engineering for DISH Technologies / Sling TV, Christine Weber provides technical vision and direction for the company in the areas of large scale Over the Top Services and customer facing network architecture. An industry veteran, she currently oversees a nationwide team of approximately 175 highly skilled engineers, architects and operations specialists that provides network, systems and software solutions for SlingTV and other OTT services. This includes the design and delivery of enterprise-class backend systems for SlingTV and other consumer-facing convergent services such as VOD, CDN and placeshifting technologies. During her tenure with DISH she has headed up various departments within the Dish broadcast and data center areas, leading a variety of large scale consumer operations and product design efforts, including the build of a greenfield broadcast facility in Asia.
Prior to joining DISH in March 1999, Christine served as a Senior Developer and Global DBA Manager at Coastal Corporation delivering database and custom real-time plant control solutions to a worldwide group of specialty chemical and refining properties.
Christine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Wyoming with a minor in Electrical Engineering. In her spare time, Christine is an avid road cyclist, gardener, world traveler and dog agility trainee. A native of Colorado and longtime resident of Wyoming having raised two children in Cheyenne, Christine and her husband recently relocated back to Colorado where they reside with a variety of four-legged friends.
